I want to go back

                          I want to go back to the time …

                          When happiness means tofees and biscuits,

                          When victory means finishing my plate first

                          When safety means being in my mother's arms,

                          When father's shoulders were the highest on the earth

                          And touching the roof in his strong arms means high above the sky,

                          When the only things broken were my toys,

                          When goodbyes only meant till tomorrow,

                          When I loved everybody

                          And everybody loved me,

                          I wish I could go back ...

Communication

                        If we can just be with someone silently and distantly,

                        We are with someone completely.

                        Intuition is especially the sense that enables us

                        To communicate beyond words in ‘golden silence’.

                        And it is precisely in this subliminal communication
                        That miracles are born in.

                        When we verbalise,

                        We have to order a myriad of stimuli, ideas, feelings

                        And fantasies into logical sentences,

                        For which there is a definite need.

                        But in mutual silences we transgress logic

                        And send feelings in an undiluted,

                        Direct form to one another.

                        Divine Father, in my temple of silence

                        I have made a garden for Thee,

                        Decorated with the blossoms of my devotions.

Greatness Is An Inner Event

                             To be a great leader, first become a great person.

                             Lead yourself first.

                             Only then will you be able to lead others

                             And influence those around you

                             By the powerful example that you set.

                             Begin within, in a society that celebrates externals.

                             Remember that greatness is an inner event with outer consequences.

                             Once you awaken your inner leader,

                             Worldly success is the guaranteed result.

Sorrow

                                          Understanding of sorrow is an explosion,

                                          A revolt, a tremendous discontent in everything.

                                          To understand death and sorrow,

                                          One must have a burning urge, an intensity,

                                          And face the fact.

                                          Unless you can play, you will never find out.

                                          If you don’t know how to smile,

                                          Not only with your lips but with your whole being,

                                          With your eyes, your mind, your heart,

                                          Then you don’t know what it is to be simple

                                          And take delight in the common things of life.
